This contract opportunity near Westerville, OH, is ideal for a dedicated SLP skilled in school-based and pediatric practice. You’ll collaborate on a tailored service plan for a single 20-year-old student who communicates via AAC (using PECS), ensuring that their speech and language goals are effectively addressed.
This assignment is super part-time: just 1 hour per week, with flexibility to choose a convenient hour between 9am and 3pm, Monday through Friday. You will work during June 8-26 and July 13-31, offering truly adaptable scheduling within each week. This is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful difference in a student’s experience while maintaining work/life balance over the summer.
What we’re seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active CCC-SLP certification
- Valid licensure to practice in Ohio
- Experience with AAC devices, specifically PECS, strongly preferred
- Background working in school or pediatric settings
- Compassionate, student-focused approach
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct SLP services to a student using AAC for communication
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to ensure optimal goal progression
- Document session outcomes and maintain accurate records
- Adapt therapy sessions to student needs and evolving goals
- Participate in team meetings as required
