Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Powell, OH
Exciting opportunity for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist interested in supporting a single student’s progress during the Extended School Year session on a very part-time, contract basis. This unique role is ideal for an experienced professional seeking impactful, focused work with a flexible schedule.
Key Details:
- Commitment: Just 1 hour per week
- Assignment: Direct services for one 20-year-old student utilizing AAC (PECS)
- Service period: June 8–26 and July 13–31, with full flexibility to schedule your hour each week between 9am and 3pm
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials required
- Pediatric or school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Background working with students who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), especially PECS
- Strong ability to collaborate with educational staff and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and observation skills
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to student-centered growth
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver targeted speech-language interventions tailored to the student’s needs
- Provide guidance on AAC use, strategy implementation, and ongoing support
- Monitor progress and maintain clear documentation
- Communicate effectively with school staff and caregivers regarding recommendations and student achievements
- Ensure all services align with IEP goals and session objectives
