Key Qualifications:
- Hold a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with pediatric and/or adolescent populations, especially within school environments
- Familiarity with AAC systems, especially PECS, is essential
- Previous SLP experience in healthcare or school settings strongly preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy to one student during ESY sessions
- Assess, plan, and implement strategies tailored to the student’s communication goals
- Collaborate with staff and caregivers to maximize the use of AAC devices
- Document progress, maintain records, and adjust approaches as needed for optimal results
- Provide guidance and support for integrating communication strategies throughout daily activities
