Speech Language Pathologist CFY in Delray Beach, FL
Step into a fulfilling opportunity supporting students’ communication needs as a Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the school year. This contract-based position is located on-site within a highly regarded district near Delray Beach, FL, with multiple location options available around West Palm Beach and the county. Full-time roles (35 hours/week) can be created by combining assignments across several schools, and every SLP-CF will receive direct supervision and mentorship from experienced SLP-CCCs.
As you embark on your clinical fellowship, you will work with a diverse caseload of students, with age groups and specific assignments varying by location. The district provides robust support, ensuring you gain valuable school-based experience and personalized professional development throughout the academic year. Supervision is arranged specifically for SLP-CFs; SLPAs are not eligible for this posting.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology completed or in progress
- Active Florida provisional SLP license issued by the Department of Health
- Commitment to school-based contracts through May 27, 2027
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting and all credentialing requirements quickly (prior prints through AHCA Clearinghouse may expedite process)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, student-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy for students, ranging from elementary to high school
- Collaborate with supervising SLP-CCC and school teams
- Document progress and implement IEP goals
- Adapt strategies to fit diverse educational settings
- Participate in professional development activities
