Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active SLP license for Washington State or eligibility to obtain it
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or current status as a Clinical Fellow (CFY) welcomed
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with healthcare requirements related to speech-language services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and educational staff
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy for students’ diverse needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and state/federal regulations
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure optimal student progress
  • Maintain accurate records, document session outcomes, and participate in annual IEP meetings
  • Offer guidance and support to classroom staff and families on communication development and strategies
  • Stay current with best practices and guidelines in school-based speech-language pathology
