Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license for Washington State or eligibility to obtain it
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or current status as a Clinical Fellow (CFY) welcomed
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings is preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with healthcare requirements related to speech-language services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy for students’ diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide intervention for speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and state/federal regulations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure optimal student progress
- Maintain accurate records, document session outcomes, and participate in annual IEP meetings
- Offer guidance and support to classroom staff and families on communication development and strategies
- Stay current with best practices and guidelines in school-based speech-language pathology
