Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Highland Park, IL

Make a direct impact in the lives of students by providing speech-language pathology services for a high school caseload. This full-time, onsite opportunity runs from August 10 to September 22 and involves covering a leave of absence. Your expertise will support students’ communication needs and contribute to their academic and social growth within a collaborative educational setting.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Valid state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in Illinois
- Experience working with high school students or adolescent populations preferred
- Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in high school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
- Conduct screenings and evaluations in accordance with school policies and best practices
- Document ongoing student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for intervention strategies
