You’ll work alongside educators and fellow clinicians, using expertise to help students achieve their full potential. The role offers the chance to provide both direct therapy services and consultative support, aligned with each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current SLP license for Texas (or eligibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), or Clinical Fellow with supervision available
- Experience in school settings preferred, but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Committed to fostering growth in students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students according to IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and assist with documentation
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Educate school staff and caregivers about communication disorders and interventions
