Licensed Certified School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant | Lancaster, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic educational setting near Lancaster, CA. This full-time contract position (30 to 35 hours per week) is tailored for a compassionate, certified, and licensed SLPA ready to travel across multiple sites, making a difference in the lives of students. The anticipated start date is March 16th, 2026, with Spring Break observed the week of March 23rd through March 27th. You’ll play a key role in assisting students who utilize AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices, ensuring personalized and impactful therapy throughout the district.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification and active state licensure required
- Experience or interest in supporting students using AAC devices preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to efficiently manage an itinerant schedule
- Compassionate, collaborative, and adaptable mindset for a school-based environment
Responsibilities:
- Travel to various school sites within the district (average of 40-50 miles per week; mileage reimbursement provided)
- Deliver speech and language interventions under the supervision of credentialed SLPs
- Facilitate and support students’ use of AAC devices, collaborating with faculty and family as needed
- Document student progress and session details accurately and promptly
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
