Licensed Certified School-Based Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Lancaster, California

As an itinerant SLPA, you will travel within the district, specializing in supporting students who utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. Mileage between assignments typically ranges from 40 to 50 miles per week and is fully reimbursed. You’ll benefit from regular supervision and professional guidance as you grow your skillset.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification and current state license
- Experience with AAC devices and assistive communication tools preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt to various school settings and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adjust to multiple sites and dynamic student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students using AAC devices
- Collaborate with supervising SLPs to design and implement personalized intervention plans
- Travel to assigned schools within the district to support a diverse student caseload
- Engage with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain thorough records of therapy activities and student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements
