In this position, you'll have the chance to travel between sites within the district, impacting students across various campuses—especially those utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. All travel is supported with mileage reimbursement, so you can focus on what matters: helping students thrive. You can also look forward to direct, ongoing supervision, ensuring collaboration and professional growth.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid SLPA certification and state licensure
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Competence supporting students with AAC devices
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Flexibility for district-wide travel (weekly mileage averages 40-50 miles)
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following ethical guidelines
Key responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services to students under the direction of a licensed SLP
- Travel to multiple schools within the district each week
- Implement individualized and group interventions, particularly for students with AAC needs
- Assist with documentation, reporting, and progress tracking
- Collaborate actively with SLP supervisors, educators, and families
