Licensed Certified Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Lancaster, CA

You'll work itinerantly across several school sites, gathering rich experience as you provide essential support to students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices. Mileage throughout your weekly travel is reimbursed to ensure your comfort and commitment are well-supported.
Key Qualifications:
- Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of AAC devices and their integration into student communication plans
- Comfortable traveling between locations, with weekly mileage of 40-50 miles reimbursed
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Commitment to supporting and empowering students of diverse backgrounds and needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language services to students under licensed supervision
- Provide support and guidance for students using AAC devices, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, SLP supervisors, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Monitor progress, document sessions, and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in ongoing team meetings and professional development to enhance your practice
