Key Qualifications:
- Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience in school-based settings preferred
- Strong understanding of AAC devices and strategies for student support
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to various school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Travel between school sites within the district to work with assigned students
- Support students in utilizing AAC devices effectively in classroom settings
- Maintain accurate records of services provided for each student
- Collaborate closely with supervising SLP, teachers, and other educational staff
- Monitor student progress and contribute to planning and adjustment of interventions
- Approximately 40-50 miles weekly driving; mileage reimbursement included
