Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of AAC devices and strategies for student support
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to various school environments

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Travel between school sites within the district to work with assigned students
  • Support students in utilizing AAC devices effectively in classroom settings
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided for each student
  • Collaborate closely with supervising SLP, teachers, and other educational staff
  • Monitor student progress and contribute to planning and adjustment of interventions
  • Approximately 40-50 miles weekly driving; mileage reimbursement included
