Desired Expertise & Qualifications:
- Active license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Illinois
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Previous experience working with pediatric clients, preferably in school-based settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students from diverse backgrounds
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and contribute to multi-disciplinary evaluation teams
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor student progress toward established goals
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required compliance documentation
- Participate in case conferences, IEP meetings, and professional development initiatives
- Provide guidance and education to staff and families on speech-language needs and resources
