Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CFY supervision
- State licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within a school-based setting
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, evaluations, and best-practice therapy methods
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for school-aged students
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student goals
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services to diverse caseloads, adapting techniques as needed
- Document progress meticulously and participate in IEP meetings with teachers, families, and administrators
- Offer support and resources to classroom teachers, ensuring all students’ communication needs are met within the educational setting
- Stay current with the latest research, therapy strategies, and state compliance guidelines
