Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for CFY supervision
  • State licensure (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally within a school-based setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, evaluations, and best-practice therapy methods
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for school-aged students
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student goals
  • Provide direct and consultative therapy services to diverse caseloads, adapting techniques as needed
  • Document progress meticulously and participate in IEP meetings with teachers, families, and administrators
  • Offer support and resources to classroom teachers, ensuring all students’ communication needs are met within the educational setting
  • Stay current with the latest research, therapy strategies, and state compliance guidelines
