Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Illinois
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged children, preferably within an educational setting
- Knowledge of IEP processes and the ability to conduct assessments, develop goals, and implement individualized therapy plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong Clinical Fellows (CF)
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student needs and learning styles
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Conducting evaluations and re-evaluations for students referred for speech and language concerns
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) with clear, measurable goals
- Providing direct therapy services to students with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student progress and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
- Maintaining accurate records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required documentation in compliance with school and legal guidelines
- Supporting the development of classroom communication strategies and recommending assistive technology, as needed
