Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current, valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong CFY candidates
- Pediatric experience, ideally within a school environment
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to cultural competence and supporting diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs
- Monitor student progress, adjust intervention strategies, and maintain detailed records
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and ongoing staff collaboration
- Offer consultation and training to teachers and support staff regarding interventions and supports for students
- Stay up to date on best practices and continuing education in school-based speech therapy
