Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active speech-language pathology licensure in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Experience or clinical training in pediatric and school-based settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and communication disorders within school environments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each student’s unique needs
- Provide direct therapy services and consult with teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, contribute to goal-setting, and document student progress
- Stay current with best practices, maintaining accurate and timely records
- Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
