Qualifications:

  • Active and valid New Jersey state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Ability to work with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of educational documentation and adherence to state/federal regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to provide comprehensive support
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, parent conferences, and staff development activities
  • Provide both group and individual therapy sessions, adjusting interventions as needed for optimal student success
  • Empower students to improve communication skills crucial for academic and social development
