Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Stamford, CT
Step into a rewarding opportunity serving students across multiple sites as an itinerant Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-time, contract position allows you to embrace your expertise for a varied caseload featuring PreK through 4th and 8th-grade students. You’ll play a vital role in supporting communication, language, and social skills for young learners in a collaborative educational setting.
Your day-to-day experience will be both impactful and fulfilling as you work on-site, traveling between locations to ensure students receive the support they need. Utilizing your background in pediatrics, schools, teletherapy, and broader healthcare SLP experience, you’ll be a trusted resource for faculty, families, and students alike.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Connecticut SLP license (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (CFY) welcome
- Previous experience servicing pediatric or school-based populations
- Comfortable supporting multiple sites and age groups
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and caregivers
- Familiarity with teletherapy a plus, but direct on-site services are required
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students for speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and implement evidence-based therapy
- Work closely with multidisciplinary staff to foster student progress
- Maintain timely, accurate records adhering to school and state guidelines
- Communicate effectively with educators and families regarding student performance
