Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in Connecticut, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC); Clinical Fellows (CFY) also considered
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong background in pediatric speech and language therapy, including evaluation, intervention, and documentation
- Experience or interest in teletherapy is a plus
- Familiarity with IEP processes and working with diverse student populations across all grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to students across the PreK-12 spectrum
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, participate in IEP meetings, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Deliver services onsite and/or via teletherapy platforms as needed, adapting approaches to meet each student’s unique needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in the field
