Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP license in Connecticut (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience working with pediatric clients, preferably in a school-based setting
- Knowledge of a variety of communication disorders and intervention strategies
- Ability to conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver therapy that addresses individual student needs
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Dedication to supporting student progress and collaborating with educators, families, and other therapists
Responsibilities:
- Assess students for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results and IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students, both individually and in small groups
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Work with classroom teachers and other specialists to integrate speech-language goals into the academic curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and parent conferences as needed
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy
