Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active and valid license to practice as an SLP in Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFY candidates will be considered
- Experience providing speech and language therapy in school settings is highly valued
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and culturally responsive care
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students for speech, language, and auditory disorders using standardized and informal assessments
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and set measurable goals in collaboration with educational teams
- Provide direct and consultative therapy tailored to students’ needs in both individual and group settings
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and Medicaid billing, if applicable
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student support reviews
- Offer guidance and resources to teachers and parents to reinforce therapeutic progress in the classroom and at home
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to school-based services
