School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Salinas, California

With both rural and preschool-focused positions open, these contract roles offer a chance to work within a supportive team, consisting of three SLPs and one SLPA, serving students from transitional kindergarten to 8th grade.
Openings include a rural SLP, who will travel between schools in a scenic rural area and work with children aged TK through 8th grade, and a preschool SLP located at a single site, working with students aged 3-5. Each position supports a caseload of 35-45 students and will be part of the SPED department, fostering collaboration and shared expertise. The contract runs through the 26/27 school year with potential for extended school year arrangements.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- State licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with school-aged children in a school setting
- Strong assessment, therapy planning, and documentation skills
- Comfortable traveling between rural school sites (for rural SLP role)
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs, SPED processes, and interdisciplinary collaboration
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and hearing assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for diverse student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and the special education team
- Maintain timely and accurate student records in compliance with district and legal standards
- Provide consultation and support for school staff on speech and language matters
