School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Description
Sunbelt Staffing is currently hiring a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time school-based contract opportunity in the Redmond, Oregon area. This position offers the chance to work with students across a variety of grade levels, providing comprehensive speech and language services that help learners overcome communication challenges and achieve academic success. The ideal candidate will bring a student-centered approach and a passion for collaboration within an educational setting.
Responsibilities
- Assess students for speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results
- Provide direct therapy services in individual and group settings
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to support student goals
- Contribute to IEP development and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of evidence-based speech-language intervention strategies
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) certification or eligibility preferred
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Clinical Fellows eligible for supervision are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of special education laws and compliance standards
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
- Completion of all state licensure requirements
Experience
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Pediatric therapy experience is a plus
- New graduates and Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply
