Make an impact as a Speech Language Pathologist working with early childhood populations in the greater Portland, OR area. Two rewarding opportunities are available—one at Tualatin Early Childhood Center with a flexible hybrid schedule (potential for up to two days remote per week depending on assignment and workload), and a second covering classrooms in the Beaverton area, based at Beaverton Early Childhood Center. Each contract allows you to build skills and provide essential support to students who need it most within a collaborative educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication, evaluation, and documentation skills
- Commitment to supporting children in early intervention programs
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus for the Beaverton-based assignment, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in young children
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records and regularly document student progress
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities to stay informed about evolving best practices
- For hybrid assignment: manage responsibilities both onsite and remotely as outlined by workload and center requirements
