Begin your next contract assignment supporting students ages 5–22 with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a dynamic, school-based environment near Providence, RI. This in-person opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and offers a chance to truly impact students' communication and academic outcomes in a collaborative setting. As the speech-language professional, you’ll work with a caseload of 18–22 students, all of whom receive behavior intervention services tailored to their unique needs.
Your Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license is required. You’ll have the opportunity to join a passionate interdisciplinary team dedicated to empowering students, with access to weekly pay and competitive compensation between $45 and $50 per hour.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Rhode Island SLP credential
- CCC or CFY considered; school-based SLP experience preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities a plus
- Comfortable implementing behavior intervention strategies in educational settings
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services for K–transition age students (5–22)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, behavioral specialists, and families
- Document student progress and maintain compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
- Adapt activities and interventions to support each student’s learning and behavioral needs
