Step into a dynamic, school-based setting dedicated to supporting students with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This full-time, in-person opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, and invites a mission-driven Speech-Language Pathologist to serve a caseload of 18-22 students, ages 5 to 22. Qualifications & Credentials:
- Valid Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
- Open to CCC-SLPs, CFY candidates, or those with school-based SLP experience
- Experience, coursework, or a strong interest in supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities is highly preferred
- Familiarity or willingness to collaborate with behavior intervention teams
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans
- Collaborate with behavioral specialists, classroom teachers, and families to ensure holistic support
- Maintain timely and accurate records in compliance with state regulatory standards
- Document progress, adjust session techniques, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Foster an inclusive, empathetic environment that encourages student growth and engagement
