School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Cranston, Rhode Island

This position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about working with children and young adults ages 5-22 who have developmental and intellectual disabilities. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and provide vital speech and language interventions for a manageable caseload of 18-22 students, many of whom receive behavioral support.
You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. This role offers a chance to truly impact learners who benefit from dedicated and compassionate services, helping them find their voices and succeed in a supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- ASHA Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Previous experience in a school or similar setting desirable
- Familiarity with students receiving behavior interventions is a plus
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students on the assigned caseload
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Work collaboratively with classroom staff and behavior intervention teams
- Maintain timely, compliant documentation and progress reports
- Partner with families and caregivers to support student progress
