Make an immediate impact in the lives of students as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist, working with an exceptional population ages 5-22 with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding, structured schedule—Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm—serving a caseload of approximately 18-22 students. You’ll collaborate with dedicated teams to support students who also receive behavior intervention, helping them build vital communication skills and realize their full potential.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Current RI SLP credential (Speech-Language Pathologist certification required)
- Open to SLP-CCC as well as clinical fellows (CFY)
- Experience or a strong interest in working within school settings
- Ability to manage and document services for a diverse student caseload
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with multidisciplinary teams
Daily Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students aged 5-22
- Develop individualized treatment plans and document progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to integrate therapy strategies
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and school standards
- Facilitate and attend IEP meetings as needed
- Employ effective strategies to support students receiving behavioral intervention
