Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment with the school district in Prince George, VA. This is a short-term summer opportunity designed to support students who require continued speech and language services outside of the traditional school year.
The district is looking for an SLP who can provide onsite services at least two days per week, offering flexibility while still maintaining consistent support for students. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking summer work with a manageable schedule.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
Support students in maintaining progress on communication goals during ESY
Monitor and document student performance and progress
Collaborate with ESY staff, educators, and related service providers
Adjust therapy strategies to meet individual student needs in a short-term setting
Ensure compliance with district and state documentation requirements
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Active state SLP license (required)
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
Ability to work onsite at least 2 days per week
