In this contract opportunity, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping students reach their communication goals by providing tailored assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license for the state of Virginia
- Previous experience or strong interest in serving middle and high school populations in educational settings
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred, though not required
- Ability and willingness to work exclusively onsite
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for assigned students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of services, progress notes, and compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Partner with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic and social success
- Attend and actively participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
- Provide education, strategies, and support for classroom staff as it relates to speech and language needs
