Key Qualifications:
- Active Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
- Experience or strong interest in school settings, particularly with pediatric and adolescent populations
- Proficiency in assessment, intervention, and development of individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy services to students from elementary through middle school
- Complete comprehensive speech-language evaluations; develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in team meetings
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to tailor interventions to student needs
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and school guidelines and policies
