This part-time position is ideally suited for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about making a difference. As part of a collaborative and caring team, you'll be providing essential speech and language services to two extensive support needs special day classes, working with students who require robust AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) support.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver direct SLP services 2-3 days per week, approximately 7 hours per day, on a flexible part-time schedule
- Manage a caseload of students with significant communication challenges, tailoring interventions to individual needs
- Implement and support AAC strategies, ensuring each student can communicate as effectively as possible
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and document progress to guide therapy
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of educators, specialists, and families for holistic student support
- Engage in IEP teams and contribute expertise in speech-language pathology to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications We’re Seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid CA SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA CCC or CFY candidates welcome
- Demonstrated experience with AAC (required)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Compassionate, creative, and adaptable approach to therapy
