You will join a supportive school-based therapy team to cover full-time caseloads as follows:
- First assignment: January–April, focused on early childhood. Travel between preschools and ECSE sites to work with PreK students who have more complex and diverse needs. Expertise in conducting both speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations for early learners will be essential.
- Second assignment: Starts in February (end date TBD), providing speech therapy for 5th and 6th grade students—also full-time.
Desired Background:
- Current MI Speech-Language Pathology license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous school-based experience highly preferred
- Proven ability to manage early childhood caseloads, including conducting in-depth, multidisciplinary evaluations
- Comfortable working exclusively on-site and traveling between multiple schools for the early childhood role
- Strong communication skills and a passion for collaboration within an educational team
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Complete comprehensive evaluations to identify student needs and inform IEP development
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to foster student growth
- Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress reports
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing expertise and recommendations
