Opportunities:
- First assignment (January–April): Engage with an early childhood caseload, traveling to multiple preschools and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) sites. Administer both speech/language and multidisciplinary evaluations for PreK students, particularly those with complex needs.
- Second assignment (beginning February, end date TBD): Provide services to 5th and 6th graders within a school-based setting.
Ideal candidates bring a passion for pediatric speech-language services and are skilled at adapting approaches for diverse student populations.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC required
- Current Michigan SLP license
- Strong background in school-based and pediatric speech-language pathology
- Specialized expertise in early childhood evaluations, including multidisciplinary assessments for PreK
- Previous experience working in educational environments is preferred
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcome, if license requirements are met
- Willingness to work onsite and to travel between local campuses as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services tailored to student IEPs
- Conduct thorough speech, language, and multidisciplinary assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain timely documentation compliant with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development
