The first opening—January through April—focuses on early childhood caseloads across multiple preschools and ECSE sites. This full-time assignment offers the unique challenge of traveling to various locations to evaluate and support PreK students, including those with complex developmental needs. The second opportunity begins in February (with a flexible end date) and centers on serving 5th and 6th-grade students, also on a full-time basis.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Michigan SLP license
- Experience with early childhood evaluations, including both speech/language and multidisciplinary assessments for PreK populations
- Familiarity with pediatric caseloads, preferably within a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to travel between sites as needed
- New graduates with relevant CFY experience are encouraged to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and multidisciplinary evaluations for children in early intervention and elementary settings
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Travel to multiple sites to ensure coordinated care (for the early childhood assignment)
