This opportunity involves providing in-person speech therapy services, focusing on both program-based and general education support for children with diverse speech and language needs near Livonia, MI.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid SLP license and CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Demonstrated experience in a school-based setting, specifically with pediatric populations
- Prior work supporting children diagnosed with autism, utilizing evidence-based approaches
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs and related documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy three days per week in a specialized program for students with Autism
- Conduct speech and language interventions two days per week for students requiring services outside the designated Autism program
- Split your week between two elementary buildings, ensuring continuity of care and communication across sites
- Assess students, develop individualized goals, and monitor progress
- Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
