Make a meaningful impact on the lives of K-12 students by serving as a School Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Lakewood and Tacoma, WA area. This onsite, contract opportunity spans the full 2026-2027 school year, running from September through late June, and offers a consistent 37.5 hours per week within a supportive educational environment. You’ll work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other professionals to assess, treat, and help students overcome communication challenges, empowering them to reach their full academic and social potential.

What we’re seeking:

  • Valid WA state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology (SLP).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC).
  • School-based SLP experience is highly valued.
  • Must be fingerprinted through OSPI (Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction).
  • Eligibility for, or possession of, WA Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification.
  • Background supporting K-12 caseloads and working in a dynamic, team-oriented school environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and a proactive, positive approach.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic services for students with varied communication needs.
  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the educational team.
  • Consulting with teachers, staff, and families to support student success in and outside the classroom.
  • Documenting progress and maintaining accurate records in line with school and state requirements.
  • Participating in professional learning opportunities and contributing to a positive school culture.
