Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though strong CF candidates will be considered
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech-language therapy services to students based on IEPs
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify communication needs
- Create individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure student progress
- Document session notes and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for student needs
- Offer consultation and support to staff regarding communication strategies in the classroom
