Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting children ages 4-10 within a vibrant school environment. This position provides a chance to make a tangible impact, working with Pre-K through 5th grade students to develop communication skills essential for academic and social success. The assignment starts as soon as possible and will extend through May 2027, offering consistency for both you and your students.
You’ll work a steady schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for a total of 32 hours per week. As the casemanager for 17 students, you’ll design and implement individualized plans, and you’ll also collaborate with another SLP, sharing responsibility for an additional group of 41 students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with Pre-K to 5th grade
- Excellent communication, team collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable managing a varied caseload and developing individualized education plans (IEPs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop therapy goals, and provide direct therapy for students ages 4-10
- Serve as casemanager for 17 students, closely monitoring progress
- Collaborate with another SLP on shared student goals and caseloads
- Document progress in alignment with school protocols and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings with teachers, families, and support staff
- Promote inclusive communication strategies for students with diverse needs
