Step into a rewarding educational contract role supporting students’ communication development for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. As an SLP or SLPA, your expertise will make a direct impact on school-aged learners within a dynamic district environment. This position involves working on-site with assignments and campus locations finalized closer to the school year's start, following a comprehensive interview process.
Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP or SLPA license (proof required with application)
- For SLPAs, full licensure in hand is essential, as supervision hours cannot be provided
- Previous hands-on school-based experience in a comparable SLP or SLPA role
- Willingness and ability to work on site throughout the contract period (no remote opportunities)
- Not available for SLP Clinical Fellows (CFs) at this time
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Evaluating and treating students with a variety of speech and language needs
- Collaborating with educational staff and caregivers to implement effective interventions
- Managing documentation and progress reports in accordance with school district standards
- Participating in IEP meetings and communicating progress with stakeholders
- Adapting to flexible placement and assignment as determined by district needs
Additional details: Candidates will be required to purchase a laptop, with reimbursement provided. Assignments and specific school sites are determined after the interview process and prior to the school year. Candidates must be prepared to complete district fingerprinting and provide full documentation during onboarding.
