Desired Skills and Experience:
- Valid licensure as an SLP, CFY, or SLPA
- Experience or strong interest in working with children in school environments
- Strong knowledge of assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies for speech and language disorders
- Confidence utilizing technology and teletherapy tools (for remote roles)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- SLPA candidates may also possess healthcare experience (a plus)
- Flexibility to support both elementary and middle school students
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic intervention for students with speech, language, or communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or therapy goals
- Deliver services through in-person or teletherapy platforms based on program and student needs
- Maintain timely progress notes and session documentation
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, parent conferences, and school-wide support initiatives
- Offer consultative support to staff and caregivers to optimize each student’s communication outcomes
- Adapt strategies to engage diverse learners across grade levels
