Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required
- Experience in hospital-based speech-language pathology (SLP) and audiology
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills
- Effective communication abilities with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Current licensure and certifications as required by state and practice area
Responsibilities:
- Conduct audiological assessments and interpret diagnostic results for pediatric and adult patients
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs in coordination with medical teams
- Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and hearing interventions
- Maintain thorough and organized documentation in compliance with hospital standards
- Consult with physicians, nurses, and caregivers to discuss findings and recommendations
- Educate patients and families about conditions, therapies, and expectations for progress
