Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) required
- Current licensure in audiology and speech-language pathology, or eligibility for licensure
- Extensive knowledge of hospital-based therapy procedures for both SLP and audiology
- Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassionate approach to patient care and a commitment to best clinical practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations for speech, language, voice, swallowing, and hearing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the broader care team
- Administer and interpret audiological assessments and provide hearing aid fittings as needed
- Document patient progress and coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and therapists
- Provide patient and family education on therapy strategies, preventative care, and use of adaptive equipment
- Stay current with emerging practices and continued education within the SLP and audiology fields
