Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their communication skills as an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) on a contract basis. In this school-based role, you’ll collaborate with educators and families, helping students thrive academically and socially through comprehensive speech and language services.
Your expertise will prove vital as you assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse caseload of children, tailoring interventions to each child’s individual needs. Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Illinois SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or actively working toward eligibility
- Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment, therapeutic intervention, and documentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and collaborate with staff and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and write clear, actionable reports
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team
