Desired Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but open to strong CFY candidates
- Previous experience working in school settings is a plus
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and develop individual treatment plans for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in partnership with teachers and staff
- Deliver direct and indirect therapy services to students across grade levels
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with district and state requirements
- Consult with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student outcomes
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff discussions, and ongoing professional development
- Stay current on best practices and new trends in speech-language pathology
