Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment is preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to partner effectively with another SLP and interdisciplinary team members
- Knowledge of IEP process, goal development, and effective progress monitoring
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Manage a direct caseload of 17 students as case manager, overseeing therapy planning and IEP compliance
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized speech and language goals for 41 additional students, collaborating closely with another SLP
- Provide tailored speech and language therapy designed to meet each child's unique needs
- Track student progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Engage positively with parents and staff to foster optimal student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
