Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Valid New York SLP license (or eligibility)
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Proficient in creating and following individualized treatment plans
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative, flexible, and committed to best practices in student care
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide 28 speech/language sessions per week, each lasting 30 minutes
- Deliver therapy in accordance with IEP goals, adjusting strategies as needed
- Maintain detailed records and progress notes for each student
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and staffings as needed
- Use evidence-based interventions especially suited to elementary learners
- Foster a welcoming, engaging, and inclusive therapy environment
