Embark on a rewarding school-based contract as a Speech Therapist for the entire 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current or eligibility for New York State license in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or actively pursuing CFY
- Prior experience with school-aged children preferred; new graduates with a passion for pediatrics are welcome
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals, up to 40 sessions (30 minutes each) per week
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate progress notes and timely documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and interdisciplinary team conferences
- Implement evidence-based therapy strategies, adapting approaches to meet individual student needs
You’ll enjoy a consistent daytime schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday, for the entire school year—providing the balance and structure that fits your lifestyle.
