Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Deliver therapy sessions using evidence-based practices, adapting interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to provide consultation and strategies for classroom integration
- Monitor student progress, maintain detailed records, and update goals as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Advocate for student needs and ensure compliance with all school and state regulations
- Provide resources and education to families and staff on communication disorders
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current SLP license for the state of Texas (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows (CFs) will be considered
- Previous experience in school settings highly valued
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work positively within a dynamic educational environment
