Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current Illinois SLP licensure (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Previous experience with pediatric or school-aged populations strongly preferred
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working across a range of student needs and grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy interventions tailored to each student
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Document student performance, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions to address articulation, language, fluency, and voice disorders
- Offer consultation and resources to staff and families within the educational setting
- Stay current with best practices and compliance in school-based SLP services
