In this rewarding contract role, you’ll work full time—with part time options considered—providing specialized speech therapy to young students in an engaging school environment. This opportunity is open to a broad range of SLP professionals, including those holding their CCC, candidates currently completing their CFY, and those with a background in either healthcare or school settings.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping children communicate more confidently and achieve their full potential during these formative years. This is an onsite-only position, and only fully credentialed SLPs will be considered (no SLPAs).
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active Illinois SLP license and current ASHA certification (CCC) or eligibility for CFY
- Experience working in educational or healthcare settings with an early childhood focus
- Strong collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Genuine passion for nurturing communication skills in young learners
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and develop individualized therapy plans for early childhood students
- Deliver thoughtful, evidence-based therapy sessions onsite
- Maintain accurate records and prepare necessary reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Consult regularly with educational staff and families regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to holistic student support planning
